MP's Salaries

The salary for a Member of Parliament is determined in accordance with the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989. The Act provides that the salary level of a member of the Parliament of New South Wales is set at $500 per annum less than that of a Member of the House of Representatives.

Office Holders may receive an additional salary and or expense allowance. These are outlined in Part 2 of the Act.

Current salaries are outlined on the Parliament House website.
